The Trust has been aware that in the past patrons have had to sit through shows suffering unbearable heat up in the Balcony area in particular during the summer months.
So, to resolve this problem, the Directors have recently placed an order with local Company, Airtek Services, to install 2 x Daikin wall mounted Air Conditioning systems, one on either side of the area on the rear wall at high level.
Due to the Theatre’s Grade II listing, it was necessary to seek approval from the IW Council Conservation Team before commencing work. Once again, they fully supported our request and are content for us to proceed on the condition that the trunking required does not impact on the decorative plasterwork.
Installation is due to take place during week commencing 14th April 2014, in plenty of time for the warm summer to come!
